Broadband Studio by Broadcom

Broadband Studio is Broadcom’s engineering and production tool suite for broadband customer-premises equipment built on Broadcom chipsets—including cable modems, gateways, eMTAs, and set-top boxes. It provides both a graphical interface and automation hooks to configure, program, test, and validate devices throughout board bring-up, lab verification, and manufacturing.

Key capabilities:

• Device discovery, configuration, and control for Broadcom-based designs
• Secure firmware download, flash programming, and backup/restore of calibration and NVM data
• PHY/RF tuning, calibration workflows, and hardware diagnostics
• Real-time monitoring of link status, throughput, and error metrics
• Low-level register and memory access, with trace and log collection
• Scriptable automation (CLI/API) for regression and factory testing
• Modular plug-ins targeted to specific Broadcom chipsets; commonly used in Windows environments

Intended users:

• OEMs, ODMs, service providers, and manufacturing partners integrating Broadcom broadband SoCs
